The owner
Meet Dezmond White, Founder & CEO
Dezmond White was born and raised on Vancouver Island, and he built Island Strong on what people here expect from a contractor: show up when you say you will, be straight about what the job needs, and do it right.
He’s particular about the details and honest when something isn’t right. Problems get fixed, not covered up, and no job is called done until he’s checked it himself.
When you call Island Strong, you deal with Dezmond, from the first site visit and the written quote to the final walk-through.

Eye for detail
Straight lines, tight seams, clean finishes, and nothing hidden behind the drywall.
High standards on every job
The same standard on a deck repair as on a full renovation.
Local, and here to stay
A long-time local, building for his neighbours.
Why Island Strong
One builder who answers for the whole job
A renovation goes wrong in the gaps: between the trades, between the quote and the bill, between who said what and who is on site. Island Strong was set up to close those gaps.
The name says how. Island is home: the company is from here, and the work is built for the rain, wind, salt air and older houses of this coast. Strong is the standard: done right the first time, so it holds.
